Produce your own honey

Have you ever thought of producing your own honey and/or pollinating your fruit trees and flowering gardens in the back of your home or private property but don’t know where to start? Well look no further, Browns Bee consulting services is here to help. Bee farming is in my DNA. My grandparents were Bee Farmers, and their legacy lives on through me. I am a graduate of Knockalva Agriculture College, and I am currently linked with the University of Florida’s Honey Bee Labs for continuing education. I can get you started with your own hive of honey bees in your backyard or private property. 

My services include the following:

• Monthly inspection of your honey bee hive
• Educational support for any honey bee related questions
• Hive management and consulting
  • Ensuring your Apiary is state certified and registered 
  • Help schedule annual hive inspections from the state of Florida Agriculture Apiary division 
  • Educate you on the type of equipment needed for  honey bee farming
  • Help to manage common pests, such as small hive beetles, varroa mite, wax moth, ants and flies that may bother the honey bees in your apirey
  • Offer swarm control and prevention methods that will help stop your hive from swarming. This helps to ensure that your honey bee colony stays at maximum population, and your queen does not split the box and start a new colony elsewhere.
